Do you already have your TVTF?

Do you already have your TVTF?

Do you already have your TVTF?

Let's talk about the benefits!

You have already gone to the office of the National Institute of Migration of Mexico, handed in your papers, had your photo and fingerprints taken. You followed all the steps and waited patiently: and now they are printing your Border Worker Visitor Card!

You have a year of peace of mind knowing that you are regular in Mexico, you can enter and leave the country, and that even your spouse can come with you. Awesome!

But that's not all! Having the card means that you work regularly, that your employer has made you a contract recognized by the government of Mexico and that you can demand your rights as a worker.

These are your rights!

Maximum daily working day of 8 hours and maximum total of 44 hours per week. Access to apprenticeships and vocational training Emergency care Daily and weekly rest periods Overtime pays Maternity leave    Protection from sexual, physical and psychological harassment Social security affiliation, even for domestic workers Physical protection in hazardous environments Consular assistance Annual paid leave periods Joining a union

That's right, you have all the same rights as a Mexican person working the same position as you. So, if you haven't done so yet, process your TVTF, and if you have already done so, mark on your calendar that it expires after a year.

If your contract is set to continue after that, you will need to apply for a new one. Make sure to do it quickly, to never run out of protection.
